On September 11, a Sunday morning, Silicon Valley Sunshine Interact worked with Youth Community Service (YCS) for the 2022 Mid-Peninsula National Day of Service, helping assemble coloring books with the East Palo Alto Library volunteers. By folding pages and putting the paper together, the volunteers made books honoring the East Palo Alto community, titled “Celebrating Us – East Palo Alto.” All the drawing outlines for coloring were taken from real life photos of city residents.
